Rolf-Ernst Breuer, the former CEO and Chairman of Deutsche Bank, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Breuer, who was 86 years old, spent nearly his entire career at Deutsche Bank, where he held various leadership positions. He was born on November 3, 1937, and was a German businessman and jurist.

Breuer's Legacy at Deutsche Bank

Breuer joined Deutsche Bank in 1962 and quickly rose through the ranks. He became a member of the Management Board in 1997 and served as Chairman and CEO from 1997 to 2002.
