WEB actor Wayne Knight achieved television immortality assaying the role of the frenetic mailman Newman, nemesis of beloved sitcom character Jerry Seinfeld. Most recently, he brought the same comedic energy to the set of Space Jam, where he shared the screen with some of the biggest names in basketball.
In a recent interview on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Knight recounted a hilarious anecdote about working with Michael Jordan during the filming of Space Jam. According to Knight, Jordan was so competitive that he even took practice games against the crewmembers seriously.
"He would trash talk us," Knight recalled. "He would say things like, 'You're not even good enough to be a ball boy.'"
Knight also shared his thoughts on the enduring appeal of Space Jam. "It's a timeless classic," he said. "It's a movie that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It's got everything you could want in a movie: action, comedy, and basketball."
Knight's appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien was a hilarious and insightful look back at one of the most beloved sports movies of all time. It's a must-see for any fan of Space Jam or Wayne Knight.
